Anne is an award-winning animator, web designer, artist, and cartoonist with over two decades of professional experience.
Web
Principal: Anne Barrett Creative
Anne has owned and operated an independent web design company since 2006.
Highlights:
- Designed and implemented dynamic navigation schemes and home page layouts that emphasized the marketing message and improved the usability of key areas of the web site for Fletcher Allen Health Care, Vermont’s largest academic medical center
- Reduced costs and improved efficiency by integrating web content management systems with business practices for the following companies: Fletcher Allen, Evolution Physical Therapy & Yoga, and Resolution Productions, Inc.
- Created custom web brand for a number of start-up companies
Web Developer/Designer: Fletcher Allen Health Care
Anne was the designer, information architect, and content management developer for the public and internal web sites for Vermont’s third largest organization.
Achievements:
- Improved design and navigation scheme which dramatically increased traffic to key areas of the site
- Web content management saved money and increased efficiency of operations by enabling non-technical staff to publish information
- Supported over 90 departmental web content contributors by designing and developing their web sites and providing training and assistance

Anne oversaw the creative department and helped brand and launch a major e-commerce web site.
Accomplishments:
- Created detailed wire-frames which enabled key players to integrate several state-of-the-art software packages into a unified web solution
- Differentiated the company from its competitors through visual design and branding
- Developed workflow procedures to expedite timely delivery of graphical content
- Collaborated with merchandising and editorial departments to create eye-catching graphics to enhance sales and communicate corporate message

Cartoons
Anne has produced “Another Day Comics” a four-panel comic strip which has been featured in Ohohia magazine, The Journal of Health and Recovery, The Maine Switch, and lower Manhattan arts newsletters, as well as being regularly displayed during Portland, Maine's monthly Art Walk. In addition, she has presented live cartoon-based performance art as part of “Women In Limbo Presents,” a weekly series at The Knitting Factory in New York City, which was videotaped and broadcast on both cable and public television. She has self-published three cartoon books.
